About Frank
Hello out there. I’m a very long, very good boy of 2.5 years, named Frank!
I’m currently learning the house-pet ropes in a big share house, where I also go by Frankie, Froink, Franklin, Francios, Egg Noodle, Nugglet or Frankini.
I think I’m doing pretty well, and I’ve even started mastering floorboards! I love going on a walk or two a day, particularly to places where I can hang out with little floofy doggo’s and big bouncy canines. I love playing fetch and I’m deeply into chewing and snuggling my plush friends, Warthog and Crayfish.
I LOVE food, I love it. Sometimes I’m a bit cheeky, and find it within reach and have a taste test, making sure it’s suitable for my wonderful hoomans. I’m not sure why they don’t look impressed…
My foster mumma is pretty obsessed with me, my beautiful big roman nose and my weird ways of showing affection. I can be pretty shy to begin and a little bit of a slow burn, but she reckons it makes me more endearing. Foster Ma says “Franks time adjusting to house life has brought some very uncoordinated moments, a little bit of slip and slide on floorboards and racing up and down hallways. He's learned how to tackle 5 stairs and is endlessly curious about all dogs except his own kind. He is calm around kids and humans alike, but can get a little flustered in a lot of noisy street scenarios. Frank has become so loving and playful, he enjoys a good zoom in the yard, snuggles on the couch, a big ol' lean for pats, fetch and squeaky toy demolition. He loves little doggos and takes it personally with little whines when he can't meet all the dogs. He's become a magical dude to walk with, sticking by your side and only straying for smells or if he needs a rest. He LOVES two walks a day and will remind you it's time. He's got a huge appetite, and will literally gobble food til he can gobble no more. He can be quite settled and sleeps by himself in the lounge. He also loves a car ride, sticking his snoot to the wind.
Mumma has been patient with me and says I need more help adjusting to walks near traffic/loud roads, and becoming less afraid of kittens that screech. I’m very gentle with the miniature humans I’ve met and all dogs I’ve stubbled across. Sometimes I like to greet my friends by the gate with a bark, whine or a wag, but it’s only from love!

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
Click 'Enquire about this pet' to contact us or email us at adoptions@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. We'll send you an EOI form, this must be returned before proceeding.
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
