About Buddy
Looking for a real best buddy that won't leave your side?? Meet Buddy!!!
This sweet boy adores his people and will be right by your side wherever you go. He is the epitome of a best buddy, sticking with you through thick & thin.
He responds very well to cuddles and affection and just wants to be as close as
possible and once you sit down he will either sit at your feet or choose to be beside
you.
Buddy needs a family where someone is home all day as he frets when left alone for any length of time and will bark. His owners did try to work on this with him to help him gain some independence but that hasn't really worked and he really needs to be with you.
Currently living with another dog, he's ok with dogs of similar size once introduced but can be a little intimidated of bigger dogs and may bark at them when out for a walk.
He responds very well to treats and is very eager to please, his recall and off leash skills are very good. Buddy doesn't like raised voices, they scare him, so a quieter household would be best. Whenever friends come to the house, he will bark on arrival and then settle into
loving having extra attention of visitors.
He is affectionate, extremely loving and playful and a very funny little boy. He is toy obsessed and may get over excited in games, squeaky toys will be destroyed in seconds but mind he doesn't choke on the squeaker.
Buddy loves the beach and having a little paddle or swim and loves a walk, although hates his harness being put on! Grooming and brushing he is okay but not great … hates the dryer. He can not be around a mower or whipper snipper ( very important as he bites
them as soon as turned on and he nearly lost his face going for the whipper snipper). He's also terrified of thunder & storms.
Apart from all this he is the greatest little dog ever and just wants love and kindness and someone to be his best friend and he will reward you with being the
greatest companion you could want.
Everyone adores him but he will need a special owner that is home all the time. He loves the car and outings and will happily sit on your lap at a cafe.
Buddy is suited to a home with a mature person who has an understanding of dogs with anxiety and perhaps another small dog … no cats. You will need to be patient & understanding of his issues and be ok with this. Unfortunately, due to his anxiety, Buddy does bark when left alone and at some noises. He is therefore not suited to apartment / townhouse or high density living as neighbours may complain.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
