About Bailey
Bailey is not your typical puppy! With an interesting mix of American staffy and Koolie, this boy has personality plus and some attitude to go with it!
Bailey is however very quick to learn and has shown this whilst being in care. Bailey is learning to be crated, and has mastered having his meals in the safety of his crate! He was also sleeping happily in his crate overnight, in his carer's bedroom (he didn't like being alone in a different room, but slept happily in his carers room). However, of late, Bailey is choosing to sleep outdoors with his canine foster siblings!
Bailey is also learning his place with the cats in his foster home, however like all puppies he requires supervision around them.
Bailey has shown some anxiety around some new people, but we have been actively working on this, and he has been improving. (We think this may have been due to limited socialisation before he came to us).
Bailey would also be better suited to a home with either no children, or children aged 12 or older.
Bailey is a sweet, fun puppy, looking for a home that is willing to be a little patient with him while he adjusts to a new environment and people, and new pets if you have any other animals in the home.
We believe that Bailey will be a very loyal and fun loving companion, but he would benefit from an owner with some breed (Staffy) experience, to ensure he grows into a sociable and well balanced dog. Some understanding of anxiety issues would also be useful (although we do hope to have him very well socialised to people, other dogs, cats, children and new situations, very soon, some issues may remain)
If you are interested in Bailey, please contact us by message/email.. thank you!
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting a companion animal, please message us. You will need to complete an application form, which will be assessed along with any others that have come in at the same time. You can meet the pet before or after applying. In some cases more than one meeting may be required.
We may also conduct a home check to make sure that things like fencing are suitable for the pet, and provide advice on helping the new pet settle in.
If your application is approved, the pet can go to your home on a two week trial once the adoption fee is paid.
If for any reason the trial is not successful, the adoption fee will be refunded less a $25 admin fee.
Email is preferred, but phone numbers are listed. Phone number 1 is Marie and ph no 2 is Jessie :)
