About Meeko 😺 (Assisted Rehome)
Meeko is a 1 year old DSH (Domestic Short Hair) male cat living in Killarney Vale. His current family have had him since he was a kitten, but due to recent changes and moving house, he is looking for a more suitable place to call home. Meeko is Microchipped, Vaccinated, Desexed and has been regularly treated with Bravecto. He is also litter trained.
This handsome boy is an indoor cat (but has been trained to walk on leash outdoors) and enjoys spending time in his cat tent outside. He loves a spacious home and not suitable for an apartment/unit. Meeko spends a considerable amount of time sleeping, but when awake, he's an energetic cat and requires stimulation to keep him happy, so tunnels, climbing towers and plenty of toys would be ideal....He has numerous cat toys which his owners are happy to pass on to his new family. In saying that, he's just as happy playing with a pencil, a scrunched up piece of paper, or a box. He's a cheeky boy and likes to know what is going on at all times.
Meeko is not what you would call a 'lap cat', and prefers to snuggle around your legs on the lounge and under a blanket. He is quite independent and takes snuggles on his terms (as most cats do lol)....He can give the odd nip as a warning, but it is relatively easy to predict his actions.
He has never lived with other cats or dogs, but when Meeko has been outside in his cat tent, he had the odd dog or cat visitor come by and he was calm and curious. He loves spending time in his outdoor tent and going for walks on lead, but has been known to escape his harness, so needs to be watched closely. He is currently living with an 8yr old child, which he copes well with, but would not recommend younger children. Sometimes Meeko will pull on your clothing with his teeth......He is not being angry, but this is sometimes how he communicates his need for attention, so kids under 8 years may not be ideal.
Meeko is slightly overweight, but is currently on a diet and would benefit in having more space to burn off energy (and kilos). He's not a fussy boy when it comes to food, but currently eating Science Diet dry and a mixture of Dine/Fancy Feast or fresh mince/kangaroo. He also gets dental treats daily and loves Avocado and popcorn!

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
