About Maggie
You often wonder how could a young and intelligent German Shepherd need to find a new home at such a young age. Maggie is one of those young, intelligent German Shepherds who is so deserving of a home who understand her vital young months of life did not imprint love and confidence.
This beautiful young German Shepherd x Belgium Malinois is in our care in a foster home at Oberon and is learning to fit in with her fellow rescue dogs.
We sought the help of our Dog Behaviourist to work with Maggie and she responded well and has quickly picked up on the first requirements of “basic obedience”.
We would offer further training for Maggie with our Dog Trainer/Behaviourist to reinforce her training.
Maggie has lived with large breed dogs and could be a companion for a desexed male of similar size and energy level.
So we are looking for a home who understand the Maggie needs time to blossom and decompress with her humans, and have recently owned a German Shepherd and understand the breed. She did not receive the necessary socialisation with people and the world in those vital young months of her puppy development.
Please click the link to inquire for this gorgeous girl to ensure your interest in Maggie is recorded.
Maggie is only available in New South Wales and ACT.
Medical notes
Maggie has been C5 vaccinated and has been microchipped. She has been wormed and flea treated.
Maggie will be desexed when our vets determine is the best age for this female shepherd to have this procedure undertaken. Maggie will come with a desexing contract with her new owner.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
