About Mason
Mason is a nine year old pedigree German Shepherd whose owners have had to make the hard decision to find him a new home.
Mason spent his life as a yard dog where he was expected to guard the property and had minimal contact with his owners who operated a cafe 24/7.
We were contacted to help this boy when his owners sold their business and had no need for Mason.
This dear boy has had basic training and walks well on a lead. He however hasn't been socialised with other dogs, so he is best to be an only dog in the home.
Mason is an active dog loves his ball and toys. He is best suited to a home as a single dog or could be a friend for a female dog of similar age and a home where he can guard his yard.
Mason can be protective so if your are looking for a dog to alert you to visitors and noise then Mason is the dog for you. He is not suited to a home with cats, small dogs or pocket pets.
Intelligence, loyalty, protection and companionship is what Mason will give in abundance when he connects and builds that trust with his new owner.
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Mason.
If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Mason".
Medical notes
Mason is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
