This is little 13 year old Sebby Hamuguchi. She is such a sweet girl and has settled in well with the other dogs and cats. She does need a 'tidy up' - dental, xrays, and it looks like she has skin allergies. As always she will have what she needs to be in tip top shape.
If you want to sponsor little Sebby we would love to hear from you - our sponsorship page is not currently up on our new website, but you can contact us on rescue@victoriandogrescue.org.au
What we now know about beautiful Sebby. She is a sweet natured 13 year young Maltese X Shih Tzu Terrier. Sebby is still very active, enjoying two walks each day though she could do with some lead training and some more socialisation having been an only dog. She’s got a terrier attitude so she’s very confident and can be little reactive. She also lets you know when she wants to stop and smell the roses and needs prompting to get going again!
Sebby loves her humans and likes to stay close by during the day, enjoying sitting on the sofa and watching TV. She also likes to sleep on the bed at night. When it’s dinner time she’ll talk to you with whines and growls to make sure you don’t forget about her.
She’s adapted well to her foster family and her foster doggy siblings, and has got used to the family’s two cats though there’s still the odd chase here and there! She’s house trained and is good with the doggy door.
Sebby would be a wonderful companion for someone who can give her plenty of love, affection and activity. She’d do well with another similar sized dog in the house. Her fun, confident personality is impossible to ignore!
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
