Koda needs a carer in the Brisbane , Gold Coast area.
Lovely older gentleman looking for a retirement home to relax in.
Would need an owner who is home more often than not.
Can be a little unsure with close handling, go slow! Offer high value treats to work on building his confidence.
Crate training would be ideal for him as he could benefit from a space of his own to relax.
As an older man, he would enjoy slow but frequent walks around his neighbourhood to sniff and explore his surroundings.
Does not know too many cues at the moment besides sit,
Would be open to the right family, but must meet children ( over 12 years old).
Was able to meet a social female, but would ideally benefit from a calm social small dog, but would have to meet at time of adoption

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Hereβs some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
π± Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the petβs bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
πΎ Details about your family
π‘ Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
