About Buckie
Meet our little old man “Buckie”. Buckie has found himself looking for a new place to call his own after his elderly owner went into a care facility. Buckie is quite set in his ways and is very much a one-person dog, having been that way for 11 years. He is a spritely old fella with plenty of spring still left in his step that’s for sure. He has funny antics and enjoys a play with objects he finds of interest, he will have you laughing each day.
Buckie gets on well with other dogs and even chickens, he isn’t a fan of cats or strangers to the house as he does take some time to warm up to new people. He can get jealous and protective of “his person” but his behaviour is able to be managed. When Mr Buckie bonds with you he offers his whole heart. He loves pats and scratches, will follow you around, and lay by your side on the couch. He will make a fantastic little companion dog and be great company for someone.
Buckie would love a home with a single person who is patient and willing to work with him. A home on some land for some play, zoomies, and exploring would be great. Buckie is toilet trained and crate trained and is in perfect health.

All forms (including foster and adoption) can be found at the following link:
http://www.challyanimalrescue.org.au/adopt.php
** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
