About Tigger
Tigger is a very large, handsome boy. He doesn't always know his own strength so is looking for an owner who is confident and savvy with large breed dogs and who is comfortable walking one: while Tigger is good on lead he does pull in excitement for the first few minutes out the door. He is a super happy boy and can't keep still with excitement at anything and everything you might be up to. As he's an active and energetic dog he will need daily walks and exercise.
Tigger just loves to be in the company of his human and will sit near to you, just glad to be hanging out! He is keen to learn and be trained, as is to be expected with his breed mix of Ridgeback and Labrador. He wants to please you, but benefits from calm but clear boundaries being set so he knows where he is with the rules and expectations in your home. He has good manners with food and will sit and shake a paw before eating.
Tigger loves his people so much he really can't bear to be without you, so if you have a home with someone round lots that would be great! If he has another dog for company he is much better, as well as more confident, so we are seeking a home with another friendly dog. He is a pretty good 'guard dog' but is not at all aggressive. Due to his size, strength and happy rear end, he's not suitable in a home with small children. He loves being inside where his family are and is house trained. He is in a foster home with a cat however does need watching as he gets excited around him and will chase if kitty runs.
Tigger is just a big, soft and loyal boy who has so much love to give he is bursting at the seams! So if you're a fan of big dogs and can offer an active, confident and loving home, we'd love to hear from you.
