About Bernie
Groovy Baby
My name is Bernie, I'm a fun loving 7 year 7 month year old Mastiff Cross
I was originally adopted from BARC but due to a change in my owners circumstances and am now looking for a new option in which to continue my party... "Yeah baby"
Being spoilt by my adoptive family, it would be great if that treatment was to continue in my new home, I am very much a people dog and love spending my days with the family, be it around home or out and about. I'm a fun loving dog who like I said, just loves to be with my humans so I'm hoping my new home would be willing to allow me inside to sit on the couch with you watching Austin Powers ;). I would also love to sleep on your bed and have a cuddle.
I am okay with other dogs, however like my personal space and another canine friend would need to be respectful of this. Outside is a fun place to be, but I do require secure fencing as if I cant see you through the window there is every likelihood ill be ringing the doorbell to get back in.
Calm and patient older kids 8+ would be welcome companions.
I love my walks, and heal well on a lead. I would love a walk at least twice a day around the block or to the Park.
If you think you have the best-est of homes for me give BARC a call 0354412209 and ask them to book you in for a meet and greet appointment :)

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
