Our lovely Lillie is the most loving girl! All she wants is to find a human that she can love and please!
Our girl loves the beach and travelling in the car, as well as searching for sticks, digging in the sand and going for a swim.
Lillie is looking for a kind, gentle human who has time for her in their daily life as she doesn't really like being left alone. So someone who can take her to work with them or works from home would be ideal. Also, someone who is committed to working with her to so she feels safe when left on her own.
She is a smart girl who knows basic commands such as sit, shake, come, no and we are currently working on "stay". As she is a very treat driven dog who is keen to learn, you should have no problem teaching her all sorts of new tricks. She is also housetrained.
Lillie is currently being fostered in a house with two other dogs and a roaming rabbit. She shows nothing but love towards all her foster siblings.
Her new humans will need to understand that she will take some time to get used to them and her new environment. She does take a little while to warm up and trust you but once you have her trust there is no going back!
Lillie can get a little over excited when she wants your immediate attention but consistent training and guidance will help her with this. Her new humans MUST be committed to her and doing all it takes to make her part of the family.
Like a lot of animals, dogs can take time to adjust to new people and environments no matter how friendly and loving they really are. We ask you to keep this in mind when meeting any of our animals at meet ‘n’ greets and not rule them out straight away just because they are not all over you at the first meeting. You could miss out on the most wonderful companion. 💖
Adoption details
We ask that before you apply for one of our animals, you take the time to think through all aspects of having a pet in your home to ensure it is the right thing for both your family and the animal, now and in the future. Please consider how you would approach changes in your home that may affect your pet and how dedicated you would be to keeping/helping your animal when faced with any issues that may arise in the future.
If you have done this and are interested in one of our animals, please fill in our adoption enquiry form - www.cognitoforms.com/LostAndFoundPetsIllawarra1/LostAndFoundPetsIllawarraIncAnimalEnquiry
Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in to see if it is the right match.
Before adoption, all of our animals are health checked, vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, flea/worm treated and heart worm tested (where appropriate).
