Come and meet Ava. Ava is a real sweetheart of a hound. We don't really know what breed she is but you can give us your best guess! She looks like she may have doberman but we cant be sure.
Ava would like to find a home where she can be offered consistency and routine. She came to us extremely emaciated, afraid and confused. But she really wants to please and tries hard to learn. Ava has already come such a very long way.
Ava is a lovely dog and well deserving of a new chance in life. She can be a bit goofy but very endearing. She is very gentle and wants to be by your side. She would suit someone extremely well as a companion dog especially someone who lives alone . She does not appear reactive to other dogs and gets on well with all the dogs we have introduced her to so far. She needs exposure and leadership if she is to continue her journey.
Which is why we recommend that Ava is NOT SUITABLE to a home with children or regularly visiting grandchildren. She becomes uncertain around uncertainty and easily confused - which unfortunately rules out children.
Since Ava has been in care and shown kindness and routine she has developed into an exceptionally friendly and affectionate dog. She REALLY enjoys all her the attention now - and will no doubt like to continue with her "exposure therapy". With a little patience and in a loving home she will blossom into a confident companion.
Dogs like Ava really thrive on rules and boundaries so its important that her adoptive owner can offer Ava this - which is why we say we say no children.
if you live a quiet life and have a hole in your heart and home that can be healed by a dog like Ava - and in return offer Ava the home she needs to have a wonderful life - email us for a time to meet Ava!
