About Lucy ~ 1yr Old JRT x Staffy (On Trial 16/10/21)
It's hard not to Love Lucy, the 1 year old Jack Russell x Staffy who would take cuddles and pats all day long. Lucy is the perfect mix of Jack Russell curiosity with the staffy love of people and expects a pat from all who pass her by.
Lucy loves to go for daily walks and she has just had her first trip to the beach where she wasn't completely sure about the water but loved having the new experience regardless. In her foster home she is working on not pulling on lead as well as looking to her human for direction if she is unsure, both of which she is picking up quickly. She is looking for a home where her human is wanting to build on that, gaining her confidence, so someone with time to invest as well as previous dog experience is a must while she is young and prime for learning.
Lucy is very clever, house trained, crate trained and is learning more commands quickly as she will do pretty much anything for a treat and is eager to please.
Lucy is the size of a large Jack Russell with a little more muscle and although she is very child friendly she is still learning not to jump and on occasion will still puppy mouth so dog savvy children over 6 are more suited to her.
In Lucy's perfect home she would be a real part of the family and would like to keep all the attention on her so would prefer to be in a one dog household. She is currently living with two other dogs and will often muscle them out and redirect any attention to her if it is misplaced on them.
Lucy plays well with other dogs however she will need a positive and slower introduction so she doesn't feel overwhelmed. Something that can be built on as her confidence grows with her new owner who would be committed to giving her the time any young dog deserves to feel happy and calm on her outings.
Lucy is untested with cats and pocket pets and will need to have secure fencing in her home.
For more information or to meet Lucy, please contact his foster carer Haidee on their email hgrescue@outlook.com Lucy is in foster care in Salamander Bay NSW and is NOT currently available for adoption interstate.
Lucy's adoption fee is $600 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
