About Abel
Abel is a charismatic, cheeky, affectionate and intelligent young man on the hunt for his perfect people. Abel is one in a million! He will make a brilliant companion for those lucky enough to adopt him.
He is highly intelligent. Abel knows his basic commands well and is housetrained. As long as there is a yummy treat involved, Abel is a more than willing training partner!
Abel is very loyal and people-oriented. He would love a home where someone is around more often than not. Ideally, his forever home would have older children if any.
Abel is also an active young boy, who loves his morning walks. He would be content snoozing the day away inside after he has started off his day with the necessary physical stimulation.
One thing his new family must consider is that Abel is always on the hunt for some fun. He has been known to go walkabouts, using some of Houdini’s best moves to get out of the house no matter what obstacles may get in the way. An indoors-only home, with ongoing supervision for outdoor visits will be necessary for Abel to ensure his safety.
As much as Abel loves his humans, he also really likes other dogs! He is very excited when meeting new doggy friends, which he will need to continue working on in his forever home. With a successful introduction, Abel would be suited to a home with an existing friendly canine companion.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
