About Axel
G'day there, Axel here. I'm an active, energetic young man. I'd be at my best in a calm home with structure and routine to help me settle and feel safe. I can be nervous in new environments and meeting new people but if you go slow and allow me to approach in my own time, do not rush any new interactions, then success will follow. I'd loved to be allowed indoors to be part of the family. It's recommended crate/mat training be provided to give me a safe place to retreat to when feeling worried and overwhelmed. I love my food so feeding from enrichment is another success strategy. Milk bottles, Kong's, egg cartons, wobblers, go slow bowls etc: this will slow me down and provide mental stimulation. I'd definitely benefit from daily sessions- walks, games, fetch, tug of war, calm chill outs, long sniff walks where I can stop and smell the roses. I have shown some signs of barrier reactivity in my kennel, so it would be best for me to be in a home with limited front yard access/road visibility. Little children are not ideal for my energy levels, but older teens would be fine. And me being your one and only pooch please.
