About Cara - Grumpy but Gorgeous!
Cara – a cute Pippo! (part hippo/part piggy!)
Cara came to Forever Friends after her owner sadly passed away.
Approximately 8 years old, Cara is an independent lady who is happy to be a lone piggie - she's not particularly fond of other pigs. She is currently housed next to 3 others and ignores them happily.
What Cara lacks in height she makes up for in girth with her wonderful Rubenesque curves. She is a little fussy with her food, and unusual for a pig - not a big eater - but she loves fruit and bread!
Cara's favourite thing to play with is STRAW - she will grab it and run around with it proudly when you are refreshing her bed!
Cara is a little aloof and will take a time to trust you but would love to find her forever family.
Pigs need a rural or semi-rural property with at least half an acre to play and enjoy digging on. Fencing needs to be mesh or ringlock, with baseboards along the bottom so those inquisitive snouts can't push through.
Two meals of day of vegies, fruits and grains (with some bread as an occasional treat!) and a roofed shelter to sleep under with straw for a bed are the only other things they ask for.
Pigs are known to be smarter than dogs, and can be taught tricks, too! There's no doubt life with a piggy or two is lots of fun.
PLEASE NOTE: COUNCILS DO NOT ALLOW PIGS IN SUBURBAN AREAS.
