About Dayne DL2734
Dayne is a lovely boy who always wants to be near you and will lay on his back for belly rubs.
Dayne is very curious, he follows you around and watches what you do. He knows the cues "sit", "lie down" and "wait" with hand gestures. He will come to you when you squat down, and he will also sit and wait before eating.
Dayne is potty trained and can use a doggy door with ease. He is well behaved inside the car and knows how to get in and out, as well as where to sit. Dayne can also jump quite high from a standing position, and with the right training, he could do well at various doggy activities such as agility.
He doesn't like the hose but is fine with vacuum cleaners, even the robot ones. He is very playful with other dogs and may do best paired with another large dog he can run around with. He will only get upset and start barking if the other dog is done playing and he wants to keep going. He hasn't met cats, but does like to boop noses with horses.
Dayne needs continued work on lead training, as he tends to react when passing bikes, people, animals, etc. You'll need to be patient and persistent while teaching him lead manners. He currently has twice daily walks and lots of play time in the yard. He loves playing with a tug rope or ball, and he often has his treats from a Kong to entertain him and make him work for it.
A young boy, Dayne will need lots of mental stimulation and things to play with to keep him out of mischief. You'll need to get creative with toys as he loves to wreck them! He especially enjoys ripping up cardboard boxes. You won't want to be precious about your garden with a playful boof like this. He loves to sleep in the same room as you and wake you up with morning kisses.
Dayne is longing to be in a home where he has company, either human or doggy friends, and having lots of space where he can run and play is a bonus. Dayne is a big boy, but just a puppy at heart.
If you'd love to welcome Dayne into your family, email DFL today to apply.
