About Abbi
Abbi is a very sweet, large breed, young dog who is still growing.
Abbi has resource guarding behaviours with food and some soft toys, which will require addressing through ongoing training. She is also known to destroy and consume her blanket, rope and soft toys here at the shelter, so it is vital that she attends obedience training, along with lots of exercise and socialisation to help address these behaviours and allow her to mature in to a well mannered adult dog.
Abbi needs a home with an Experienced owner who has the time and energy to ensure she receives all the training and exercise she requires each and everyday.
With her resource guarding behaviours Abbi is not suited to a home with small children!
Being a Rottweiler Abbi will prove to be a very loyal companion, but this breed is not a breed for just anyone. They are herd guard breeds who are known to be playful with familiar people, but suspicious of those they do not know.

Taking on a pet is a long-term commitment. Before adopting it is essential to research what type of animal would best suit your home and lifestyle.
All animals waiting for a new home can be found on the shelter website, or by visiting the shelter in person. All animals available for adoption are ready to be adopted straight away.

In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Campaspe Animal Shelter is making some operational changes, in place from Friday, 27 March.
Our team of staff and volunteers will continue to care for all animals at the shelter. Access to our services will now be by appointment only:
- Adoptions
Monday to Friday we will have two sessions a day available
10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm
Saturday and Sunday
10am – 12pm
- All other services such as, surrenders, stray animals, reclaims and microchipping
o Monday to Thursday 10am – 6pm
o Friday 10am – 4.45pm
o Saturday 9am – 1pm
o Sunday and public holidays 10am – 12.30pm
