About Amaris ~ GSD X Puppy(On trial 10/10/21)
Please read the entire profile before applying for Amaris.
Amaris is a 10 wk old German Shepherd x puppy, who was born in care and is looking for her forever home. Her sister has found her forever home and now Amaris is looking for hers.
Amaris is ADORABLE now… but this little angel has the potential to make an undesirable mess if not given the right enrichment and training. Unfortunately no units, small yards or first time dog owners will be considered.
Amaris will grow to be a medium to large dog, and will need a home that is COMMITTED to her ongoing training and socialisation with both humans and animals. Puppy training classes and continued obedience training will benefit her hugely, due to her size and breed. Exposing her to various situations like trips to Bunnings, the beach, park and community sporting events, will help them become well rounded family dogs.
Being young puppies they do like to bite and chew so will need consistency with training. They will also need a family that understand they will need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation or they will get bored and start displaying less desirable behaviour.
Amaris is a very snuggly pup who loves her humans and would love to go to a home where she is welcomed inside. It would be great if someone worked part time in the household, particularly if there isn’t another dog to hang out with. Homes with chilled male dogs, secure / fully fenced yards, being 6ft colourbond fencing (no dog pens/ rural fencing) and a comprehensive puppy plan will be highly regarded. We have one chance to give Amaris the best start to the rest of her life, and to make her the most valuable family member she can be and we aim to get it right.
As she is not yet desexed, Amaris is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens as she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when approximately 5-6 months old.
If you think you meet this criteria and Amaris seems like a perfect match for your family please email sarahsrescues@gmail.com with information regarding your experience and puppy plan. We will only consider applicants who have comprehensively discussed bringing a new puppy into their homes, and who fully understand the breed and their requirements.
Amaris is located in the Lake Macquarie Region NSW, and is not available for interstate or out of area adoption at this time. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Amaris' adoption fee of $700 each which includes desexing, first 2 vaccinations & microchipping and treatment for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
As they are not yet desexed, Amaris is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens as she will need to be returned to our vet for desexing when approximately 5-6 months old.
