About Bear
HC1991 Bear
Part of our reduced fee special - our beautiful Bear is looking for a home that will suit his timid nature. Bear is now 8 months of age and was trapped at 3 months of age - he was feral - but we wanted to give him a chance and he has bloomed and made use of his second chance. He is as soft as he looks - his coat is amazing 😻
Bear is a nervous cat - he doesn’t do well with loud noises, sudden movements or strangers. So a calm home - without children is a must.
Another must - a home with atleast one other cat. A feline companion will help Bear with his anxiety and boost his confidence. Bear is in care with 2 adult female cats. He is very settled in his foster home and trusting of his carer - but still unsure of the male human of the house - when he tries to pat him - he will run off.
Bear will let his carer pick him up, carry him, brush him, kiss him, he loves pats and is an excellent escort to the bathroom and will sit on his carer’s lap; whilst on the loo - for pats, hugs, coos and kisses on his head. This has all taken time.
He loves the company of the other female felines in the home and cries out for them when they have found a hidey hole to sleep in. He has not been introduced to dogs; but did view a medium sized foster pup through the glass door - and seemed interested.
He loves the giant cat tower - and will often zoomie out of the litter box straight to the top of the tree - to celebrate his fresh litter box status!!
Bear will take time to warm up to a new human - this is where your existing cat will help - he will make a horrible meet and greet candidate as he will hide - but he loves his food and is motivated by it - patience will be needed to let him give you the very first pat. Once he feels safe - the world is his oyster.
A nervous little soul - Bear has had all of his vet work done; he is desexed and had all of his vaccinations. He will come with his favourite toys to his new home.
We are looking for local adoptions only - Bear is not fit to fly.
Please email Rachel at hedland.cats@safe.org.au if you think you may have the purr-fect home and feline companion/s for Bear 🐾
