About Millie
Millie has the Typical smarts of the Aussie heeler…fast learner, willing to please you.
In just over two weeks she has mastered..leave it, sit, lay, shake and a few other new commands.
Millie came from rural Qld, so the noises of the city and busy suburbs are too much for her and make her nervous and stressed.
What Millie needs is an outer city home where she can be part of the family inside, included in activities with a chilled and confident doggie friend, she seems to find females easier. She needs a good yard or space to run & play.
Dog parks are not for her as she gets overwhelmed if too many dogs approach at once, or if they bark at her!
She loves squeaky toys and loves the piggy toy…
She travels well in the car, sleeps through the night, she is great off lead, doesn’t wander & comes on recall…but Millie does need more work on leash walking, we are trialling different things for this.
Millie can appear to be a bossy girl however, inside she is really just scared and has worked out that she can scare dogs off by barking at them if they bark at her or appear scary…. she usually only starts this behaviour if the new dog starts barking at her.
Millie has only been a short time in care and she will only improve many times over with more formal training.
You must complete an online application form at https://www.all4pawsdogrescue.com.au/forms.html and the carer will contact you if you're suitable
