Fen ~ 15mo Staffy X(On trial 12/11/21)

Fen is a loveable 15mo Staffy X who is looking for his “furever” home. He is a very handsome, loyal companion. He is a smart, quick learner who is eager to please and is usually very obedient. He loves having his neck scratched and enjoys nothing more than curling up on the couch with his family for a cuddle. He is playful, loves his froggy toy, his football and his soccer ball.

Fen can jump with excitement when meeting new people but soon calms down. He just loves people and wants to say “Hi”. His tail wags so fast, so stand clear! He is such a happy boy.

He is a super smart guy and has had lots of foundational training but will need someone to keep it up so he can be the best boy ever. He knows a variety of commands and responds well to treats. His favourite enrichment treat is his Kong. Fen is house trained and crate trained and he sleeps in his crate all night. He remained calm during a recent storm and curled up and went to sleep. He also travels really well in the car.

Fen would suit a family with children over 12 years of age or an active couple to show him the world. Fen loves people so much he is best suited as an only dog as he can be reactive to other dogs on lead despite growing up in a multi dog house.
We are working on this with him but would benefit from continued training and management long term (no dog parks etc) .

He is also very excited to get out on walks but will need someone physically strong enough to walk him (he isn't ridiculous as he is only small but likes to go!) and also work on his lead manners but we are working on that too.

Secure fencing (5-6ft colour bond or similar) would definitely be essential. Fen will bark and let you know if there is someone outside. Just be aware that this gorgeous boy has a natural ability to steal your heart and become your best buddy.

Fen’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated, and he's been treated for fleas and worms. Fen currently lives in the Cessnock Area NSW (west of Newcastle NSW) and is NOT available for interstate or out of area adoption due to the current Covid restrictions.
