Hello world, meet Spike!

Please note: Spike can only go home with another socially confident dog to help him grow up to be the best dog he can be! We are looking for someone who is experienced and happy to continue using positive reinforcement training methods with him.

Spike was seperated from his mum at 5 weeks old so will need ongoing socialisation and learning to combat being taken away so early in life. Spike is very cute, and he knows it! He is constantly watching everyone around him and definitely gets comfort from being with another confident dog.

This intelligent boy does suffer when he's by himself and will need gradual independence training to help him feel better about not having his humans around. Spike likes his own space and bed, however he gets attached to people very quickly.

Spike can get mouthy as all puppies do, but he is best to older teenagers and adults in his forever home.

He will be a lot of work but with the right person and dog, Spike will blossom into a well adjusted and sociable adult dog.

Spike is a Shepherd and as such may be genetically prone to hip dysplasia. This boy will be getting Xrays done at 12 weeks, so potential adopters will have the chance of fostering with the view to adopt after his xrays.
