About Abbey
Hi, my name was Crabby Pants (as I was a bit scared when I first came in), but I've really settled in foster care and I am now known as Abby. I was very shy and timid when I came to my foster home but with a lot of time and patience I'm a completely different cat! In my new home I will need someone who can spend one on one time with me to earn my trust. I promise you that once I'm comfortable I am the cutest, most affectionate little girl. What really helped me in foster was being around my foster carer's two cats, we got on like a house on fire! They really gave me a lot of confidence and showed me humans aren't so scary. They helped me go from hiding all day to roaming the entire house! I really think I would benefit from having a feline sibling as I love to play as well. I also lived with a small female dog who I was terrified of at first but then learnt to love. I have met some older children and they were a bit scary (all new people are) but I think I could live with quiet, cat savvy kids (12+) that realise I need time to settle in. When I am settled I am so beautiful, I'm like a little shadow. I love head rubs and will even ask for belly rubs from time to time. I love cuddles in bed and am often found on my foster carer's bed waiting for her. Balls are my favourite toys and I love tunnels too. I will make a brilliant little companion provided you give me the time I need.
