About Bonnie ~ 5yr Old GSD (on trial 28/12/21)
Introducing Bonnie, a beautiful 5-year-old German Shepherd who is looking for a patient and loving forever home.
Bonnie loves all people and is suitable for homes with younger and older children. She is used to being inside, surrounded by her humans but is also independent when left alone. Bonnie would love a large backyard with room to play, due to her breed she will require secure 6ft fencing and will not be suited to apartment or courtyard complexes. We are looking for a home that is experienced with large breed dogs, preferably German Shepherds. We’d like someone who has the time available to dedicate to training Bonnie, as well as giving her the physical and mental stimulation she needs.
Bonnie is very active and has lots of energy to play with her ball for hours and hours. She is a fast learner and has picked up on basic manners since coming into care - she is very toy motivated and will sit and listen very well. She knows come, sit, drop it, toilet, bed, up here. Bonnie is dog reactive and sadly hasn’t been well socialised so she is best suited to a family where she would be an only dog. However, she has lived with cats in the past and they don’t worry her. Bonnie will benefit from lead training and daily walks in quiet streets. Being a large, solid girl, Bonnie will need a family who can handle her strength and size, whilst also having the patience and consistency to train her. Lead training will benefit her hugely.
Bonnie is toilet trained and sleeps on her own bed but would something like a cuddle on your bed if allowed. It’ll take her a week or so for her to get use to her new home, but once she’s settled in, she’s very calm and quiet.
If you feel that you can give this wonderful girl a forever loving home please contact

Bonnie is located in the Newcastle Region NSW and is NOT currently available for interstate or out of area adoption due to the current COVID-19 restrictions. Bonnie’s adoption fee is $300, she is desexed and up to date with vaccinations, flea and worming.
