Hi, My name is Gidget and I am a 1 year old Kelpie x Bull Terrier.
I am a super loving, caring and affectionate dog. Although I am no longer a “puppy” I am still a puppy at heart. All I want to do is play with you, be in the same room as you and occasionally be your not so little lap dog.
I also love to burn my energy outside, as I can sometimes have a lot of it. I love to chase the ball, then try to chew the ball, then return the ball. I also love to play tiggy. This does mean that I need a medium or large backyard area.
I am very shy at first and will take a few days to come out of my shell. I had a rough start to life and the world is still a bit of a big, scary place. However, once I am familiar with the new environment I promise I’ll be the best boy you could ever ask for.
My foster mum is working with me to correct how I express my love, along with other basic manners. In my 2 weeks being with her I have learned how to:
-Play with my foster puppy sister
- Go to bed
I don't play too nice with cats, so I need to go to a cat free home.
I have not lived in a home with children although when I meet one on my walk I seem to like them. I am stronger than I look so I am still learning to control the strength I have. This means I may be better with older children for now.
I love other dogs, but possibly a little too much! I can get a bit excited when I meet bigger ones and they don't seem to like the way I jump up to say hello. Further socialization and training will help me learn to control this. In my foster home I have a little 10 week old foster puppy sister who I love and adore dearly. Every time she cries I stop what I am doing to go check on her.
If you'd like to adopt me and you think you can help me, please apply for me!
I promise you will love me just as much as I love you!
**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
Due to an anticipated high volume of applications the adoption process is outlined below:
1. Please complete our Adoption Application Form by following the link to our website: www.all4pawsdogrescue.com.au 2. Include as much information as possible and it is never a case of "first in best dressed" when we are choosing the most appropriate new home. Matching an animal with a family is based on lifestyle, family members, attitudes to pet ownership and the personality of the pet.
3. Due to the number of applications we receive all correspondence is through email and if your application is short listed we will either call you to discuss it further and possible invite you to a meet and greet.
