Meet Kefi :-) He is a two and a half year old Harrier (scent hound) who is on the look-out for a new home.
Kefi has been through extensive nose-work training with the intention of becoming a Canine Search and Rescue dog but sadly he does not quite meet the requirements. He comes with many of the benefits of a well trained dog however requires an experienced and confident owner who has a very good understanding of the mental and physical needs of his breed. His new owner will need to be committed to Kefi's ongoing training and provide a home with structure and boundaries.
Kefi is able to show you amazing obedience. He would be great fit for someone looking for a training companion or someone who is involved in dog sports/dog training as a hobby. He has nerves of steel and will sleep through storms and fireworks.
Kefi currently lives in a suburban home with another dog, 2 adults and two children under the age of 7. He is well socialised with other dogs and has attended a farm style doggy day care for the past 18 months. He will require a secure backyard with good fencing.
Kefi is a high energy dog and is not for the faint hearted! He does best with crate rest and is very familiar and comfortable with his crate. He will make an amazing companion in the right home.
