Long Term Foster Home Needed!

Our sweet senior chap, Tommy, is looking for a quiet retirement home with a special person (or people!).

Tommy was surrendered in July this year as a very unwell boy, he was diagnosed with a thyroid condition as well as a heart murmur. Since his arrival with us he has had ongoing treatment and diagnostics to help stabilise his thyroid levels - we now have the confirmation that his medication is working as it should, and his thyroid levels are now within the normal range 😊

Tommy will still require medication (in his food) twice a day, and 3-6 monthly blood tests to ensure his health is as good as it can be. Cats with thyroid illness can live very happy, normal lives with the support of medication, a good diet, regular blood tests and of course - lots of TLC and all the comforts that a senior cat needs.

We would love for Tommy to experience life again in a home environment with someone who is willing to ensure his special needs are met, as an older boy - Tommy knows what he likes and isn't afraid to tell you when he's had enough attention and wants to laze about with his own company.

For this reason, Tommy's ideal home environment would be a quiet one, with no other pets, no young children and a family who are able to read his body language and respect his boundaries until he has established trust in the new home.
