About Ziarne
The Ultimate Rags to Riches Fairy Tale, our miss Z is now ready for pre adoption!
This girl has amazed us all so very much. The fight she has given to be here, happy and healthy today is amazing. Some of you may know her story, for those who don’t, here we go…
It was late on a Sunday afternoon when we got the call to pickup our little honey. Her swift arrival into care and a quick inspection told us she had a second coat made of fleas alone and a bath proved the intensity of the issue when she shed an incredible amount of fleas, flea dirt and blood. It soon became very evident that she needed get attention immediately so she was rushed to the emergency vet where it was found that she was severely anaemic and needed an immediate blood transfusion. The truth of the matter is, without this urgent transfusion, she would not be here today. But fight through it she did. She was significantly underweight and she looked at humans like she’d never seen one in her life. Those little eyes so full of fear and anxiety broke our hearts into a million pieces.
Fast forward to now and she is parasite free, has a tummy full of food, a warm bed to sleep on, a foster home full of love, another quiet dog to play with and snuggle and all the toys a girl could hope for. While still a little timid, she gets a little better and her confidence builds a little more every single day. Her eyes are no longer surrounded by white and while she will still duck, she is learning to enjoy a pat and a scratch.
What we would like to see in a new family for her;
- Patience
- Kindness
- Gentleness
- A family willing to take her to puppy school and socialise her in as many ways possible
- A family that will be understanding that she may take time to warm to them
- A family with another quiet, gentle dog for her to learn from and love
- A family who will be able to allow her to live her best life
- A family with the time she needs to learn to love and be trained
- She loves small children so that would be a big bonus
Ziarne is currently being raised in a house with cats and is very very good with them as they are with her so this should not be a concern provided the cat is dog friendly. She is not your average puppy and isn’t overly excitable or affectionate at this stage except with other quite dogs. She is still learning to trust and love. Please don’t apply just because she’s a cute puppy. This girl will need work put into her to have her learn ‘how to dog’ a little better. The potential is there but she needs the encouragement and patience to fully blossom.

Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks (for dogs) / 6 weeks (for cats) sometimes more, see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
