About Alexander Grandchester
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION OF ALEXANDER PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:

Please note: Alexander will be rehomed an as only dog.
Let us tell you about Alexander Grandchester. He’s come from quite a rough area, had a tough life, and it shows, but a weather beaten face doesn’t mean a weather beaten heart.
So if you’re looking for a wonderful companion then this distinguished gentleman is your guy. Alexander is deaf, but this doesn’t stop him enjoying life. While this does mean he can't hear you calling his name and you'll have to use hand directions to gesture commands, this is surprisingly easy.
Alexander is very friendly with people and enjoys attention - if you're offering a pat, he'll come running. He loves belly rubs and is well behaved and understands boundaries. He settles easily at night and will take himself to bed (yes he snores!) after dinner and a walk. Alex is obedient and is able to sit for his food bowl, his lead and knows to stay when hand gestures are used. He enjoys a drive in the car so is great company when out and about.
Alex hopes you’re a keen walker because he loves heading out for a morning and afternoon walk, and usually walks for around 60 minutes in total. So if you enjoy taking long walks -Alexander is the dog for you. He isn't a fan of other dogs on walks though and will bark and lunge towards them. You need to have some patience, understanding and a commitment to his ongoing training.
A home with a small yard or access to outdoors would be ideal. Sometimes a nap in the afternoon sun is just what the doctor ordered. He also loves to cuddle up on the sofa with his human and watch a bit of TV. We don't blame him.
If you are looking for cuteness, companionship, exercise and love look no further than Alexander. Besides, how can you resist this face!
Alexander is untested with cats .

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
