About Amalfi and Alfano
There is no bigger momma’s boy than Alfano. Wherever Amalfi goes, Alfano is close by. This is why they will be homed together. That also means that Amalfi will not be separated from all her babies!
Alfano is the smallest of the boys and a very gentle little creature. When he is feeling particularly friendly he will even give licks! Alfano is pretty brave for a little rabbit. He will happily (with a little caution- safety first) suss out new territories.
When he isnt exploring he is usually somewhere around momma either giving her kisses, sharing food or just being there.
No doubt he will sneak his way into anyone’s heart!
Amalfi is a fierce mother rabbit! She bascome so far since first coming into care as an underweight bunny momma. Unfortunately she still bears some marks of her history like her yellow stained fur but her clean white coat will definitely shine through more with each moult.
Unsurprisingly Amalfi likes to indulge herself in the good life and shamelessly does so. She is notorious for lying down to eat and does not seem to care what anyone else thinks about it. After all, she deserves to be able to enjoy herself after raising all the babies!
Seeing as she was found as a stray, this momma is always vigilant about the environment around her. She very much likes to have all 4 feet on the ground so no pick up cuddles for Amalfi but slow pats are perfect!
Alfano will be weaned with oxbow young rabbit pellets and vetafarm rabbit pellets. Meanwhile Amalfi would be be better suited to the adult blend but lets be honest- she will probably take sneak bites of the baby food as well!
It’s imperative that both also has unlimited access to hay.
If you want to give Amalfi and her bub a happy ending to her rough start and have two bunny sized spaces to fill in your home and heart, please consider adopting them!

Adoption details
Our rescue rabbits are available with photos on our site at www.rabbitsanctuary.com.au
Our rabbits come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked. They are available for a donation for your choice over $265 or $365 for a pair.
We only adopt to indoor homes in playpen/free range set ups so that our rabbits become part of your family with plenty of interaction. This also protects them from the heat and cold which rabbits are susceptible to and the viruses outdoors released to eliminate the wild rabbit population.
Please check out our website www.rabbitsanctuary.com.au to see all our bunnies available and to fill in an application form. You must provide a photo of your set up including a playpen, litter tray, hay rack, hidey house and some toys. When your application is approved you can choose any of our available rabbits.
