On Hold
About Mia - 6 month old (on trial 29/09/2021)
Mia is a gorgeous female who is approximately 6 months old! She came into our care after she was found lost, however due to her sweet nature we believe she previously had a very loving home!
- She lives for affection, head scratches and pats. If she isn’t getting the pampering treatment she deserves, she’ll paw and nudge until she gets her way…
- She sleeps at the foot of her foster mums bed every night and jumps on her lap for cuddles when she’s doing uni work!
- Is also her foster mums shadow around the house. Privacy is out the window with this one
- Overall a pretty lazy personality- she loves nothing more than lounging around/ sleeping through the day.
- Knead machine!
- While she is incredibly affectionate, Mia j’adores her space and has a bit of a social battery!
- While Mia is quite timid in her current foster setting, we think she will thrive as a solo cat and come out of her shell even more. While she really struggles with other cats, she’s friendly with strangers of the human kind. We’re yet to see how she interacts with dogs.
- Her ideal home would also be of the quieter nature- while she tolerates loud noises (think dryer), she isn’t hugely fond of them and sometimes hides to avoid these.
- Temperament is sweet for the most part, with a teaspoon of sass. She’s on and off about being picked up and has her boundaries. She’s known to bite on the rare occasion, therefore homes with small children who may not be conscious of her boundaries may not be a good idea.
Cats and Kittens adopted from Dog Rescue Newcastle must be inside only unless you have a cat enclosure that they can have some outside time in.
Mia is in foster care in Honeysuckle and her adoption fee is $200 which covers microchipping, first vaccination and desexing, plus flea and worm treatment. She is available to a home in the Newcastle/Hunter region only.
