About Patch
Please meet PATCH, a young male Great Dane x Kelpie with a cheery temperament and a positive attitude to life. He was born in May 2020 and weighs about 22 kgs. Size-wise, he's definitely more Kelpie than Dane.
Eager to please, Patch makes you feel good just being around him. He has a great zest for living and whatever he does, he does with enthusiasm. Even if it's just posing for the photos in this profile, he gives it his best shot.
He's a very affectionate boy and loves human company. He responds well to new people and is happy to receive (and give) attention, though is not needy.
Patch is child-friendly and playful, though he can be too exuberant for young children. He loves paddling in the river and riding in the car. He would be a great dog for a family with older children.
He's very dog-friendly and has had limited, but positive, exposure to the cat in his foster home.
A very clever boy, Patch has good manners, but being a young dog, sometimes he needs to be reminded of what's expected of him. He walks well on a lead and has good recall.
He would do best in an active home where someone is around most of the time or there is another compatible dog for him to play with. Experience with working dog breeds will be well regarded. As always, secure fencing is essential.
His adoption fee is $550 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
