About Alf (Aka Elf)
Lovely Alf was rehomed last year but sadly due to illness in the family he is unable to stay in his current home and is once again seeking new people to love.
His mum has written this lovely bio telling you all about a gorgeous mature gent.
If you can offer Alfie a terrific home for his senior years please get in touch asap
""ALFIE
Alfie joined our family 12 months ago via SAFE. He was 12 years old and apparently lived on a farm with many animals including a sibling. The family broke up, his sibling was adopted by the local vet nurse and Alf went to a foster carer pending a new home.
The carer told me he was very affectionate and loving and she was not wrong. I went to meet him in Toodyay and he was of course shy at first like most cats and cried all the way home. Hid in our laundry cupboard for a few days (we have a dog who was very interested to meet him) but within days he was out and about snuggling, purring and LOVES belly rubs. He will also hug your finger with his paw. He will sometimes play and cuddle with our dog. I’ve had cats all my life and he is one of the most affectionate and easy-going cats I’ve ever known.
His original name was Elf which I didn’t like so changed it to Alf which he responds to. He is a BIG boy! Loves his food but can be fussy. He loves sleeping on your lap or next to you. He is an inside cat at night which he has gotten used to (not sure what he was on the farm) but loves being outdoors during the day in the sunshine.
He is getting his annual vaccination next week and last vet visit for nail clipping they said he seemed in good health for his age. He’s microchipped. I have him on a Wellness Plan at Vetwest which includes free vet consultations, monthly flea and worm treatment. If Vetwest is convenient (quite a few locations around Perth) to his new owner (and hopefully final owner) I am offering to continue paying the monthly cost for 6 months. This is a very hard decision for me and it means the world to me to know he will be in safe and loving home, and his furever home. I thought my home would be ☹
Alfie is a joy and everyone who meets him (even non-cat lovers) comment on how cool and laidback he is. He loves company but also has his favourite spots for “me” time.
