About Coca & Cola
Coca and Cola first blew into rescue amid a howling gale, as two wild, frightened, starving kittens, crouching in the blustering wind on an elderly lady’s back verandah. These dark beauties have grown into such exotically gorgeous cats; shy and very mysterious at first, but loving and friendly when they decide you’re not quite as suspicious as you look.
This pair of somewhat nervous Nellies take a bit of time to get used to new surroundings. They didn’t eat for a week when they first came from the old lady’s house and into foster care. Coca is the more shy one but with some patience, she’ll be purring on your lap before too long. Cola is the confident one who struts around the place like she owns it, (she knows she’s utterly gorgeous :)
They are nocturnal cats who like to sleep for most of the day and become a little more active at night. These sweet sisters love to play together in their kitty tunnel and love a good grooming session with one another, and also love being brushed and having the base of their spine scratched, but you must smooth back their fur the right way once finished. They will play with a ping pong ball and soft pom poms, also hide and seek, then pounce and wrestle, rolling on the floor in one blurry, round ball. You can play with them, very gently, and they will use their paws as powder puffs, and will ‘bite’ ever so softly and shyly.
Their general expression is a wide-eyed stare, but if you blink at them, slowly they’ll blink back with a smile, in time.
These soft black mademoiselles are best suited to an adult home as loud noises and sudden movements don’t sit well with their genteel demeanour, and they have shown a definite preference for female carers; even though they have the most wonderful foster dad right now they still flinch somewhat when he touches them, and gravitate towards their foster mum.
Coca and Cola have shared space with other cats and got along well with them, rumbling and playing; they also do well with just each other. They’ve not lived with a dog before so that is uncharted territory for them at this stage.
These fluffy little ravens are approximately 2 years old and come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and FIV negative.

Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
