ABOUT ANGIE
Angie is a beautiful and sweet senior girl. Angie weighs approx 6.5 kg and is blind. She adores attention and loves walks and being with her humans. She will be your couch buddy while you watch tv and be your sleeping companion at bedtime. Angie came into care in a terrible condition. She had patches of fur missing due to severe allergies, dental disease, eye ulcers, blindness, and untreated ear infections and UTI, and has had multiple litters. Angie has been in foster care for 3 months while she received vet care and surgeries for her eyes and dental. This little girl has been through alot and she amazes us every day with her big personality. Angie will require a quieter home and one she can navigate easily with no stairs. She is very smart and maps out her environment quickly, and is great with following routines. She has been toilet trained while in care and can use a doggy door, but will sometimes have accidents if she gets confused . She would love a home where she can be an inside dog, and be able to share your couch and bed . This beautiful girl just needs to be loved and spoilt in her retirement years with a family who has patience and alot of love to share.
MEDICAL NOTES
Skin Allergies- on Cytopoint injection every 8 weeks
Distichiasis – (abnormal growth of eye lashes)- Angie has had 2 surgeries to correct this. Because this was untreated for many years it has caused ulcers on her eyes causing permanent blindness. She has eye drops morning and night while her eyes are healing- can be purchased over the counter at chemist.
Blindness- Angie is blind, she can see some slight shadows.
Dental- Angie had stage 4 dental disease. Greencross Vets performed dental surgery involving extractions and cleaning of all teeth.
