On Hold
About Luna ~ 2yr Old GSD (on trial 26/9/21)
Meet Luna, a stunning 2 year old Black German Shepard, looking to find her forever home.
Luna is very enthusiastic and toy focused. She has lots of energy and will happily spend
hours catching and chasing balls or sticks. She has been spending lots of time training on her
lead with her foster mum and dad and is getting really good!
Being a large, strong girl, Luna will need a family who can handle her strength and size, whilst also having the patience and consistency to continue her training. She would not be suitable for a family with young children. She’s very happy to show off her tricks including sit, shake hands, stay, and “on your bed”. She would prefer to be rewarded with a squeaky toy rather than a snack. She has been impressing her foster carers with her exceptional toilet training. If she wants to go out she will put her nose on her lead and let you know it’s time.
Luna has not spent much time on her own so would love someone who is home more often
than not. She would not be suited as an outside only dog, she really wants to be part of the
family and welcomed in at all times.
Luna will need a large backyard with room to play, due to her breed she will require secure 6ft fencing and will not be suited to apartment or courtyard complexes. She is very reactive to new dogs that she does not know, but will warm up to them once a polite introduction has taken place. She is also unsuitable for a home with cats or pocket pets. She treats the outside as her “work time” where she can get all her training and playing done before coming inside and switch off or taking a nap.
She is looking for a home that is experienced with large breed dogs, preferably German
Shepherds. She’d like someone who has the time available to continue her training, as well
as giving her the physical and mental stimulation she needs. If you meet these requests,
please complete an application below.
