Patsy ~ 4yr Old Kelpie X(On Trial 3/10/21)

Patsy is a gorgeous 4 yr old, Kelpie X smoochy dog with a big smile and a heart of gold. She loves to meet new people whenever she can. She does take a little while to get to know you and then her bubbly personality will come out. Patsy is an inside/outdoor dog and is housetrained and will let you know that she wants to go outside.

Patsy can be a bit goofy as she has a slight disability but this does not affect her affection towards her humans. This disability seems to only affect her legs and she will often drag her feet but that does not stop her walking/running and being a goofball. This just means that she cannot handle stairs but she is good on level surfaces and can handle the ramp into our house easily.

Patsy loves to play with her soft squeaky toys and will play fetch for a little while. She is really gentle when playing and will return her toys for the next game. She loves to go for walks and gets excited and she is easily handled and settles into a gentle stroll. Patsy is not a jumper but does get really excited about breakfast and dinner and will jump around until told to sit and then eat. She can be easily handled while she has food, but she will steal any food if it is her reach.

Patsy needs careful introduction to new dogs so would probably be best as an only dog in the house even though she was good with the other dogs in care at a previous carers home. We would highly recommend a family with previous experience in welcoming a new dog into their home, and someone with breed experience who can correctly and positively direct Patsy towards being the best doggo she can be.

Because of her slight disability she is a bit unsteady on her feet so would need a family with older children. She will need a family that will be patient and understanding of her slight disabilty but I can assure you that you will be rewarded by a very loving loyal friend for life.

Patsy is currently in care at Lemon Tree Passage NSW where she has a large yard to walk around and sniff. At this stage, due to current COVID restrictions, she is not available for interstate adoption, and we ask that you please consider your personal Covid restrictions when applying.
