About Bluey π
Meet Bluey, a fluffy and handsome black & white domestic shorthair boy with a quiet demeanour and a big stomach. Bluey is now ready to find his new home and family, after an extensive rehabilitation program in foster care.
Bluey is a shy boy to start with who turns into a big softie once he gets to know his people. He adores pats and attention and likes to keep his four paws firmly on the ground. He is known to squirm like a worm if he is being picked up and get right back to the pats once he is back on the ground. Being a grown up man, he needs his nap times and mostly likes his attention in the mornings and evenings, preferring to spend his days peacefully napping somewhere soft and warm. He will have the occasional play with a piece of ribbon on a cat wand, but more often than not he will rather be finding places to explore in the house, or simply relaxing.
Bluey grew up with humans from a kitten, however was abandoned by his previous owners at the age of 4. He spent 8 rough years on the streets being informally looked after by a neighbourhood community until he got in such a bad shape that the rescue was alerted. Since coming into care, he has had all his much needed vet work done and has really blossomed with the love and attention that he missed out on during his time alone on the streets.
Bluey is a wonderful companion. In his foster home he seemingly prefers male company over female company however this has not been generally tested. Having experienced abandonment, this big softie takes a little bit of time to open up and will need some patience to build up trust and comfort. After his time on the streets, Bluey is FIV positive and requires an adequate diet to maintain his immune system and digestive system. It is easy to do as he is quite food driven and as a result of a varied good diet, he
has developed a really shiny healthy looking coat and happy attitude. His foster family is happy to answer any questions to ensure that his forever home is a good match and share their experiences on welcoming Bluey into his new home and caring for this adorable boy. Will your house be Bluey's new home?
