About Smoochy
Hello friends, I'm Smoochy.
Take a seat and let me tell you my story....
Once upon a time i was living the life of a street cat finding food where I could and sleeping under what ever was warm and comfortable. One day I made my way to BARC and it was like walking into a dreamland.
The food is endless here, and always in bowl, I never have to go hungry!
There is always comfy bed and warm blankets for me to sleep and nap on!
The staff are always so lovely, giving me lots of head scratches and pats and all the love and affection I so deserve!
It's been a little while now of them getting to know me and my personality, and of me adjusting to the life of royal king!
So they feel that now I am ready to put my best paw forward and find myself a loving home and family to see out the rest of my days in.
I was once told that there is no greater gift then a love of a cat and I cant wait to show my new family all the love that I can muster!
You will understand why they named me smoochy when you meet me.
I love head bops and, well I love just about anything!
I do have a lot to say so would need someone who is understanding and happy for me to tell you all about my journeys and adventures and all the stories that I have picked up along the way.
I would be better suited to a home with older kids that would be happy for me to watch them play on there Xbox or even just hangout on their beds.
I'm really just looking for a best friend.
Take a leap of faith and trust that you'll land on all four paws if you decide to come in and meet me.
Please call BARC on (03) 5441 2209 to make a booking to come and hear a story or two.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
