About Peanut
Peanut's owner has died from cancer, his son is not able to keep him. Peanut was used as a stud dog for a backyard breeder of Jack Russells, he is now desexed, immunised, chipped and treated for all the normal parasites in our area. Peanut is a very active young man with a mind of his own. He needs to be apart of a family, a companion. He seems to get on well with other dogs especially those of his size. He would be better with school aged children and adults. He is a good natured young man, who knows what he wants and what he wants to do. He has the little dog syndrome with a heart as big as Ben Hur, but will come scurrying back to you for reassurance.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
