About Harley
PLEASE READ ENTIRE PROFILE BEFORE APPLYING!!!!
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU RESIDE IN A MELBOURNE AREA
Meet our little man “Harley”. He is a super cute boy that thinks all he needs in life is a lap to sit on all day and his person offering pats and cuddles. We however know what he really needs is a home that will provide confidence building activities and adventures and someone that will show Harley how to be a dog. Harley can quickly slip into an anxious boy if he is treated like a baby or smothered in affection, so it is important his new home have knowledge in dog behaviours and are confident leaders who are happy to provide boundaries for him.
Harley is good with other dogs, cats, kids, and other small animals. He will bark at people entering the room at times and can be shy meeting new people, but he is just needing more work on his confidence to be able to deal with it all.
Harley loves going on car rides, walks, adventures allowing him to run and sniff, playing fetch, food puzzles and learning new tricks. Harley is a clever boy and learns quickly, he can sit, lay down, shake hands, walks well on lead, he is toilet trained, and is also crate trained. We think Harley would be amazing at agility or flyball and this would be great for his confidence too.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

All forms (including foster and adoption) can be found at the following link:
http://www.challyanimalrescue.org.au/adopt.php
** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
