About Jed
Jed was bought in as his owner was homeless and living with friends and they could not have him with them. We agreed to care for him while they were looking for a place to live and they thought they had found one, only to find that it allowed small dogs and cats, Jed is a medium size staffy. We had agreed to get him desexed, immunised and ready to return to his owner. Now we have been asked to find him a special home as they cant have him with them. Jed is a very good natured young man, gets on with humans and other dogs, need some training as all young teenagers do when out and about. Jed needs a home where he is the only dog or with a dog that will not let him take charge. He is better with adults rather than children and can be possessive of his owner. If you live on your own and need a dog to protect you Jed is your man, but like the older larger dog, you need to have consistent rules and boundaries. He needs a strong firm fair and loving hand, someone who would like a loyal companion but at the same time will not let him get the upper hand. In return he will shower you with love and protect you to the end.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
