About Finn
đ¤ âDID YOU GET MY GOOD SIDE?â đ¤
Introducing the sweetest boy we have here at the Catters. Finnegan is a total smooch and lover that adores his human contact. He may seem shy at first, but it doesnât take Finn long to warm up to new people and invite them into his little love circle. Finnegan has an very calm demeanour that we would like his family to match with and will need a calm home where he can enjoy the quiet life. After roaming the bush down south until last week, this long lost cat is so eager to have his home life back.
Finnegan loves his food and loves his treats even more! Tasty dinners are definitely the way to his heart and a perfect way of building a good relationship with him. Because Finn is so lovely, he is able to adapt to a lot of homes that have cats, quiet dogs, and children. Finnegan is very cat social and has shown his carer just how well other cats accept him because of his gentle nature. Finn would do great with calm kids that donât overwhelm him and perhaps might enjoy giving him a good brush every afternoon. In foster care he has ignored the household bird and has shown no threat, so will fit in well with homes who have resident birds. Finnegan also lives in a foster home where he had dogs nearby and would cope well with calm dogs that were able to give him some space as he adjusts. Basically, what we are saying is that Finn is an amazing little guy that has a lot of love to give!
Finn ticks all the boxes of being able to live with cats, kids, birds, dogs and any other little creatures you might have lurking around.
All adult cats are sent to potential new homes on a two week trial after an initial meet and greet before finalising adoption, with the adoption fee payable before they leave their foster home (to be refunded upon their safe return within 14 days). While adult cats do take longer than this to settle into a new home, it allows a chance to see how the cat is coping with the new environment.

Medical Note: Finn has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) which is a viral disease that can interfere with the immune system of the infected cat. As this virus progresses slowly, many cats go undiagnosed and those that are diagnosed can live years without showing signs of illness. Owners of cats that are FIV positive should pay close attention to signs of illness and seek veterinary treatment early to prevent a worsening condition, as the virus weakens the catâs immune system. It is estimated that between 14-29% of cats in Australia and New Zealand are infected with FIV.
Important: FIV positive cats must be kept indoors or confined to a secure cat run to prevent spreading the virus which is usually transmitted through saliva entering the body through deep bite wounds. This also prevents them from acquiring other illness and disease. To eliminate the risk of FIV transferring to other cats, TMC Inc. will only adopt FIV+ cats to homes without cats, or homes that already have an FIV+ cat.
If you would like to arrange a meet and greet with Finn, please fill in the adoption application: https://madcattersinc.formstack.com/forms/adoption_application or email madcattersrescue@outlook.com.au for more information.
