About Wookie
If you are interested in Wookie, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/nm8JCDhs5RrnrSMJ6
At less than 2 years old, this sweet boy is a bundle of energy!
Wookie is currently living in an apartment with another greyhound sister and is doing really well, however he would thrive in a home with a backyard to let out all his energy. He has had no toileting accidents inside and has already learnt how to use the toilet on the balcony.
Wookie still needs to learn manners when it comes to playing with smaller dogs and would prefer to be a solo dog or share his home with another large sized dog who doesn’t mind a bit of rough play. Wookie prefers for his humans to be home more often than not and is unlikely to suit the lifestyle of full-time workers.
Wookie has beautiful leash manners but can be a bit reactive towards other dogs when on walks because he wants to play with every dog he meets and say hello to every human. He has benefited from being walked on a short leash when passing other dogs and humans to avoid overexcitement. When playing and meeting new people he can be quite jumpy and would not suit a home with small children, cats or pocket pets.
Wookie is super affectionate and would cuddle with you all day if he could. He is always friendly to everybody he meets and would benefit greatly from further on-leash socialisation with smaller dogs.
This sweet boy is bursting with confidence and has had no issues adjusting to pet life. If you can handle puppy craziness and endless amounts of love, Wookie could be the perfect boy for you.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
