SERPIE
Female
1 year old (approx.)
Domestic Medium Hair - black & white
SAFE ID: BNC682
Location: Busselton
Adoption Fee: $250.00
😻 Playful, friendly girl! 😻
- Cute and clever Serpie (pronounced ""sar-pee"") is bilingual (at least!), speaking Afrikaans and Cat. Her name means ""scarf"", for the pretty white fur on her chest.
- This 1 year old girl knows that kossies (""ko-seas"") means ""food"", and balletjie (""bu-le-key"") means ""let's play ball"" - one of her favourite games. She also loves playing string, and will follow wherever you take it.
- Serpie's all-time favourite toy, though, is her silver star! Throw it anywhere and she'll fetch it back to you. Legend has it that she once had 10 of them...
- Serpie is sweet and attentive, her amber eyes following your every move. She's easy to please and doesn't meow much. She loves to snuggle and give you little kisses on your neck.
- Serpie likes to hang about in the kitchen when someone's cooking, and will amuse herself nibbling on a box for an appetiser - but enjoys the odd little tidbit of meat or fish you might offer at mealtimes.
- Whilst in foster care Serpie has learnt to use the small doggy dog to access the outdoor cat enclosure she shares with her male foster cat.
- Serpie gets along very well with her male foster cat but is untested with dogs and children.
- Serpie has been trained to walk outside on a lead and would be best suited to a quieter home.
- Could that home be yours? Meet Serpie and find out!

Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
