I've been adopted!
About Roxy - 5 Year Old Staffy (On Trial)
Hi, My name is Roxy and I am a 5yr old female Staffy looking for my furever home. I've been super lucky to land an amazing foster family while we search for my new perfect home. I hope it's you! I'm being super loved, and would really adore being loved forever in a place to call my own.
A little bit about me; I did not have a lot of socialising with other dogs growing up, so I am reactive when I see one out walking so I prefer to go when there is not many around. I have not been with cats or small animals, so I would need to be an only pet. My foster family has been working with me so some further training would help me out. Our professional trainer will give you some free lessons to show you how what I’ve been learning.
I might be medium sized, but I will need a yard that is fully fenced as I can be a little bouncy sometimes. (5-6ft colourbond fencing would be optimal with no holes, gaps or large openings) I don't need an acreage size yard, but a good size yard that I can play and relax in would be amazing. Please no courtyards or apartment style living.
My enthusiasm is chasing balls, playing tug-o-war and hide-n-seek and would be best suited within a family environment with kids over the age of 8. I am always up for a play and love to be around children.
Training has been going well and I can usually Sit, Stay, Come and have even learnt to shake while I have been here. Toilet training is on point and I will usually let you know when I need to go outside. I sleep in a crate at night, so you don’t have to worry about me wandering around the house while you are asleep. If you tell me to go to bed, I may give you the big puppy dog eyes, but I will eventually get there. After all, I am an awesome doggo!
If you let me, I will sleep with my head on your lap while you are on the lounge and you can watch me dream about chasing cars or I will snuggle with you on the bed, as long as I can be near you. If you are the right family, I will reward you with my love and affection.
