About Gemma
Beautiful blonde looking for love and a lounge lizard lifestyle.
Female brindle greyhound 8 years old.
Gemma is a sweet girl with big brown Bambi eyes. When she is excited her tail will whip around in a telltale ‘helicopter’ spin.
She can be clingy as she adjusts to her new environment and it is likely her new parents will find it hard to move without a big soft head glued to their side or an enthusiastic face lick as often as Gemma can manage.
She is very gentle and affectionate but she can be a little nervous with too much noise and activity close by. A few pats and some gentle words seem to reassure her.
Gemma is an older girl and has not exhibited the energetic zoomies or interest in toys typical of many younger greys, but she may come out of her shell and become more playful down the road. She loves her walks but will settle happily in her bed for a long snooze. When she’s not resting she enjoys keeping an eye on family members from her throne and listening carefully to the hustle and bustle of daily life.
This girl currently resides in a foster home with young children and has a blossoming friendship with her foster sister, another mature female greyhound. She thoroughly enjoys being part of a ‘pack’. She would suit a home with a family that is home more often than not. (No full time workers unless they are working from home or there is another dog in the home)
Gemma has shown gentle interest in other dogs large and small.
Gemma has not been tested with cats.
