Meet Leotardo!

Leotardo is an affectionate, overgrown puppy who is quite happy hanging around with you all day long. He will curl up on your lap or lay at your feet.

He has earned the nickname Leaping Leo as he does a glorious leap when playing fetch.

Leotardo is still learning to be at ease when meeting new people or dogs. He can be defensive and bark until he feels secure. On walks he is on high alert for new dogs and people but has not shown aggression. Originally from a rural area, these behaviours will lessen as he learns to be comfortable in the city with all the noises and movements.

Leotardo's new family will need to continue training with him to curb his anxiety and to stop him mouthing when vying for attention. He will need sufficient exercise to stimulate him and reduce his anxiety at being left alone.

Leotardo is house trained, sleeps on his own bed near his carer and has good recall. He has learnt several commands since he has been in care to show just how smart he is and what a bright future he will have.
